THE PORTFOLIO COMPANY

The portfolio company is a leading HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services provider serving residential customers across growing markets in the Midwest and Central U.S. The company offers replacement, repair, and maintenance services with a strong customer base and a multi-brand platform across multiple states.


Currently, the Fort Collins branch has experienced declining revenue, dropping from $26M to $20M due to underperformance. The company is seeking a strong General Manager to drive turnaround efforts, improve culture, reduce turnover, and enhance overall business performance.

They partner with portfolio companies to drive operational efficiency and profitability. The firm has a strong track record of working with management teams to enhance value and achieve growth.

THE ROLE

The day-to-day role for this position will include the following tasks:

·        Full accountability for P&L, marketing, and overall operations.

·        Implementing a turnaround strategy to drive revenue growth.

·        Building and leading a new management team if necessary.

·        Driving key performance metrics to improve profitability.

·        Utilizing shared resources such as HR and marketing partners.

·        Ensuring high accountability for operational and financial KPIs.

·        Managing sales, customer acquisition, and overall business development.


KEY SELLING POINTS OF THE ROLE

·        Full autonomy to run the branch with access to shared services for support.

·        Unique equity structure allowing the GM to earn a percentage of EBITDA growth, with significant earning potential.

KEY CHALLENGES FOR THE ROLE

YOUR BACKGROUND

The successful individual will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

·        Full P&L responsibility for a $20M+ business.

·        Strong sales and marketing experience, particularly in customer acquisition.

·        Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services within the residential sector.

·        Financial acumen and the ability to manage key performance metrics.

·        Ability to train and develop teams based on KPI-driven performance.

·        Proven track record of executing turnaround strategies and increasing profitability.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Basic Salary: $180,000 - $210,000

Bonus Package: 50% on EBITDA targets, with OTE up to 100% if targets are exceeded.

Equity: Long-term incentive plan based on EBITDA performance, with potential for a seven-figure payout.
