THE REASON FOR THE SEARCH 

The firm sought to appoint an Associate due to recent growth, increasing deal activity, and the need to expand the team.

THE PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM

Wincove Private Holdings, with offices in Boston and New York, started in 2008 as a pledge fund and later established itself as a holding company with permanent equity capitalization. Over the last three years, they’ve invested in eight platform businesses and completed 14 add-on acquisitions, focusing on manufacturing and service sector companies with revenues under $100 million.

Operating as a holding company with a permanent equity base, Wincove takes a long-term investment approach without fixed periods or holding constraints. They raised an evergreen fund in 2015 with $60 million in committed capital, the ability to recycle funds, and $15 million allocated for new investments. Over the past six years, Wincove has made nine platform investments and over 20 add-on acquisitions. Their team structure allows exposure to all aspects of the investment process.

THE SEARCH REQUIREMENTS:

  • Investment Banking, Consulting, or Big 4 experience
  • M&A experience (preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills
