Michael brings a wealth of experience in quality management, process improvement, and operational excellence, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and cost reduction in the aerospace and manufacturing industries.
Before joining Terry’s Machine, Michael held leadership roles at Jet Parts Engineering and TECT Aerospace, where he consistently delivered operational improvements. At Jet Parts, he enhanced production processes, leading to record sales, while at TECT Aerospace, he spearheaded Lean initiatives that resulted in over $2.5M in cost savings over three years.
Michael’s expertise in DMAIC process management, Lean Six Sigma, and cross-functional leadership makes him a valuable addition to Terry’s Machine’s executive team.

Terry's Machining had lost the Quality Director and therefore needed a replacement.

Loar Group is a group of companies of component manufacturing businesses that sell predominately into the Aerospace & Defence sector. Terry's Machine is specialized in precision aerospace machining, focusing on materials like titanium and stainless steel.

Terry's Machine & Manufacturing, Inc. is a precision machining company that specializes in manufacturing high-quality components for various industries. The company provides CNC machining, milling, and turning services, focusing on delivering complex and high-precision parts. Known for its commitment to quality and innovation, Terry's Machine serves industries such as aerospace, automotive, and industrial manufacturing, ensuring reliability and precision in every component produced.
THE SEARCH REQUIREMENTS
- Experience Managing a Machining Dept
- Experience as a Production, Manufacturing, Shop Floor, or Operations Manager
- Experience in increasing morale and driving efficiencies
- Aerospace experience (Preferred not essential)
THE PROCESS
To secure the candidate, Raw Selection followed their extensive 15-step process to ensure a great match was found for the vacancy.
We worked with Loar Group to build a detailed position requirement, understanding the end goals of the business and the current challenges they faced to ensure we could identify a profile that had the right skills and experience.
This role was deemed urgent to fill for the client due to a serious quality issue. Raw Selection needed to prioritize the recruitment process for the position of Quality Director to replace Terry's Machine's current underperforming business leader.
After conducting many screening calls and interviews with potential candidates for the role, Raw Selection identified a great profile, who was subsequently hired for the position.
Raw Selection followed our extensive 15-step search process, identifying many potential profiles, which were then cut down to a shortlist of 28, all of whom had been fully interviewed and measured for cultural fit.

OUR THOUGHTS ON THE SEARCH
Terry’s Machine had a very urgent need for a Quality Director to join their machined components business. They had a major quality audit upcoming, and without a competent QD to lead them through it, they had concerns about a potential failure. The president was covering in the interim, but they needed a QD quickly. Michael was immediately the front-runner based on his experience, commutable nature, and cultural fit to the business.
