THE PORTFOLIO COMPANY
Eddy Packing Co. Inc was founded in 1953. They are a producer of high-quality beef, pork, and poultry products, and provide a diversified portfolio of branded and private-label products to its retail and food service customers.
The firm is based in Texas, and its premium meats are featured under various brands at regional grocers, large national grocery chains, restaurants, and wholesale clubs across the United States.

WHY RAW SELECTION
Eddy Packing was on the lookout for a new CFO to join their team due to their expansion. They wanted to find someone who not only fit the search requirements but someone who was a good culture fit and had the capacity to develop the business. Therefore, they turned to Raw Selection, who are proven in completing difficult searches across Europe and North America.
The main challenge of this search was the given candidate criteria. They needed to be located in Texas and also have extensive experience in the food processing industries. We were able to overcome this challenge by utilizing Google maps and by performing a competitor LinkedIn search.
Alongside this, during the offer stage, we made sure to secure a good equity package for the candidates in order for them to accept the position.
THE PROCESS
To secure the candidate, Raw Selection followed their extensive 15-step process to ensure a great match was found for this search.
THE RESULT
Raw Selection commences every search by discussing and understanding the full search requirement and brief. We worked with the Senior Vice President, Zack Foulk, at Insight Equity in order to build out a full picture of the company, the employees, the culture, and exactly the type of profile that was needed to succeed in this position.
After conducting over 218 screening calls and 27 interviews, Raw Selection identified an exceptional individual, Darci Lenehan, who was subsequently hired for the role.
Raw Selection followed their extensive 15-step search process, identifying 337 potential profiles which were then cut down to a shortlist of 3, all of whom had been fully interviewed and measured for culture fit.
The CFO immediately was able to join the business which ensured a strong handover.
