Thaler Machine specializes in various machining services, including prototype development, tool work, inspection support, and design support for manufacturability. The company offers diverse machining capabilities such as CNC Jig Grinding, EDM Wire & Ram, 5-axis CNC machining, and much more, with state-of-the-art technology and a wide range of machines.
THE SEARCH REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate needed to meet the following criteria:
- Experience in Private Equity-backed businesses
- Prior role as Controller or Chief of Finance at a large PE group
- Experience as CFO
- Aerospace and Defense (A&D) experience (preferred)
- Strong manufacturing background (required)

After over 60 screening calls, Raw Selection successfully placed Mark Godfrey in the role, a candidate with the ideal skills and experience to lead the business forward.

Raw Selection successfully filled the CFO position with Mark Godfrey, who had the right mix of manufacturing experience, PE-backed business expertise, and a track record of impressive growth in previous roles. The new CFO is now set to drive the business forward and take it to new heights.

Mark Godfrey stood out from the start of the search. His experience in manufacturing, particularly in fabrication and machining, was a perfect fit. He had previously grown a Private Equity-backed business by 60% in revenue and successfully sold it to a strategic buyer. Additionally, his work as the finance lead for Ingersoll Rand’s $400M+ revenue division, where he significantly increased EBITDA, demonstrated his ability to drive financial success.
