They focus their investments in Biopharma, MedTech, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Life Sciences, Healthcare IT, Consumer Health, and the Healthcare industry. Archimed invests in both small and mid-cap companies and works closely with each portfolio company to drive business growth through international expansion, additional products, acquisitions, and organic growth.

Headquartered in Lyon, the firm has a current headcount of 100, with around 50 of those employed in the investment team, which operates across New York and Lyon. The leadership team has directly managed and invested in over 80 small to large-size healthcare companies globally. Archimed's team comprises operational, medical, scientific, and financial experts, allowing them to serve as both a strategic and financial partner to European and North American small and mid-market businesses. The firm has a diverse team made up of over 25 nationalities, with a flat hierarchy structure and a culture that encourages open feedback and entrepreneurial development.

THE SEARCH REQUIREMENTS

  • A solid and proven experience of at least 5-10 years in a relevant position as a General Counsel (GC) or bar attorney
  • Private Equity experience
  • AIMF experience
  • Bilingual in English

WHY RAW SELECTION

The firm faced challenges in finding a suitable candidate for the newly opened position of Head of Risk and Legal, a role created due to Archimed's success and expansion. The ideal candidate needed in-house legal fundraising experience, compliance and risk experience, and AIMF expertise. Additionally, the position is based in Lyon, and the candidate may have to relocate.

To overcome these challenges, Raw Selection conducted in-depth market research and market mapping, performing a process of elimination to find the best candidate.

THE PROCESS

To secure the right candidate, Raw Selection followed their extensive 15-step process, ensuring a perfect match for the vacancy.

Raw Selection’s Senior Associate, Haleema Hussain, led the search, collaborating with Cecile Pontier, the Hiring Manager at Archimed, to build a clear understanding of the company, its culture, and the profile needed for success in the role. After conducting over 400 screening calls, Raw Selection identified an exceptional individual, Jeppe Lindgaard, who was subsequently hired for the role.

Following the 15-step process, Raw Selection narrowed down the initial pool to 8 potential candidates, eventually selecting a shortlist of 4, each fully interviewed and assessed for cultural fit. The entire search was completed within 40 days, and Archimed successfully secured their new Head of Risk and Legal.
